Housed in an old home built in 1921, the architecture is that of yesteryear, with brick construction and foot-thick walls. Frank came to Corpus Christi from Sicily by way of Chicago and World War II service in the U.S. Navy. He opened Frank's in this old house back in 1947. His mother taught him to cook, and he taught us before his retirement in 1973. The Moody family has been proudly serving the Coastal Bend for generations. Sue Moody is retired and currently living in Arizona. Sue's son, Mike Moody and wife, Elma took over in 1993 to pridefully serve our beautiful city by the bay. Now Mike's kids are here on a full time basis. Vanessa is the oldest and she sometimes has her kids here helping and learning the ways of the restaurant. Michael has mastered the kitchen. Vanessa and her kids make all of the desserts from cheesecakes to tiramisu and many more. Very friendly people who come to enjoy good home cooked meals have always patronized Frank's. We are one of Corpus Christi's best kept secrets.
